if I came off as being mad I wasn't. I'm all about gaming but sometimes I feel the strange need to defend what I bought, haha. I really could care less how much power it consumes.
even if the 360 does have this feature it is still cool the PS3 also would. the competition is really driving both companies and I love it! just look at all of the new features being added in the Xbox Live update. the streaming video was especially most likely added because of the PS3. good stuff.
and the controller's internal batteries will randomly catch fire or explode
more power consumption doesn't mean more powerful. look at old processors 10 years ago and then look at mobile processors of today. they run on more efficient architecture using less power but running on more clock cycles.
people do care too much but from the opposing side us 360 owners have been made fun of for how much power the 360 consumes.
agreed but OXM would and does do the same. while we're at it we'll throw Nintendo Power into the mix, haha.
I'm going to be as unbiased as possible. The official playstation magazine saying this PS3 game blows the 360 out of the water is just as credible as the official xbox magazine saying the same thing about Gears of War in respect to the PS3. Both magazines are very biased. No doubt the game will likely be really fun but I am still very happy with my "tacky" 360 and I'm happy I didn't wait. It's cool to like one system over the other but why go calling the 360 tacky? Are you so materi...
the damage system looks great. as much as I would like to buy the force feedback wheel I can't justify to myself spending $150 on a peripheral for one genre. now add support for driving a warthog in Halo 3 and I might just buy one.
so the processor gets really hot. that's why it has a heatsink. I'm sure the PS3 will get hot too. I don't see why the heat matters as long as you can play games. personally, my 360 has never overheated and I'm sure most people who think it does do not own a 360. both consoles will be hot. game on.
Halo: CE on the PC has a flamethrower.
Completely agreed. Why can't people just see that the competition is creating 2 great racing games? Personally I will get Forza because I own a 360 but if I had a PS3 I would probably get Gran Turismo. And why do people on here have to bash games that other people like? If you don't like a game then explain why in a civilized manner rather than just saying a competing game is better. That just starts dumb arguments that make your day worse.
If I remember correctly, Burnout Revenge lets you record and upload replays. I can see your comment was unbiased and I do appreciate that.
this is the same situation as with Oblivion. think about a normal game. you've got X amount of time to finish the story, character models, environments, etc. now you have a finished game and you decide to make it on another system. all of the old resources are pulled out and the game is ported but you also can concentrate much more time on making the game engine look better. this is the same kind of stuff that was happening when PS2 games were ported to the Xbox. the games were not just looki...
...they remind me a lot of Halo 1 which was much more outdoor than indoor. It's probably because of the tall pine trees. Honestly I don't care too much about the graphics either. They will be good enough to have an enjoyable experience and that's what gaming is all about.
I think he's talking about on his original Xbox with the Thompson drive.
I am kind of looking forward to this game. All of my PC gaming friends seem to love it.
I'm not bashing you or anything but the 360 is $400 for Premium. I personally really enjoyed Project Gotham 3, Kameo, and Call of Duty 2. I know COD2 is on PC but mine can't run it. If you like Playstation games better, that is completely cool, a lot of people do. Some people prefer different games. Let's try not to start a stupid argument please.
Yeah, it's also just so he can get his name out there so people can hire him in future cases.
While you are correct that the graphics will be better because of the extra development time, why try to start something with other people. I own a 360 but I can still see that the PS3 will have cool games too. If somebody wants to buy a PS3 for $500 or $600 let them, they will have fun with games just like I am on my 360. Games are meant to be fun, not to start stupid arguments about which system is better.
I'm too much of a fanboy? did you read your comment? btw I owned all 3 consoles last generation and I'm not really a fanboy. right now I do plan on only owning a 360 but that has more to do with my money situation. I was only pointing out that power consumption has to do with efficiency AND how powerful it is. go ahead and bash me now because I'm out of comments on this thread :)
